Lady Diana still

Princess
Diana wore this Black Taffeta dress when she appeared first time in public
after the announcement of her engagement with Prince Charles. She looked

Later in 1991, She revealed in an interview for her biography that Prince Charles criticized her for wearing this dress because of British Royal protocols. The protocol stated that members of the royal family should wear black only in funerals.
This famous
Klondike dress was worn by Diana in 1983 during her tour to Canada with Prince
Charles. It was a form-fitting gown with a hat which was designed by Linda
Mattock. The dress contributed to Linda’s achievement by winning her a BAFTA
award.
The hat was specifically designed for Diana with silk flowers and pearl sprigs. The look became so popular that dolls were also designed with similar appearance.

planning to wear the dress at the 1994 Serpentine Gallery party but changed her

dress was bought by a Scottish couple for $ 60,000 during an auction for AIDS
and Cancer charities.
